Cox Family: Hand and Foot

My family is one of the few families left that truly enjoys each others company! Last night my Grandpa and Grandma Zehring and my 3 great aunts came over to my parents house for dinner and cards. For dinner we had steak and chicken fajitas from this Mexican meat shop, and it is so good! I requested it because it is my favorite meat! Then we all sat around and watched American Idol giving our own opinions on who was good and who wasn't. Then it was time for cards and after some debate and a run to the store for more decks, we decided on Hand and Foot. I love this card game, it is my favorite!! We divided up into 2 teams. Grandma, Danielle, Seth, and Aunt Em were team one. Me, Aunt Janet, DJ, and Aunt June were team two. If you have never played Hand and Foot it is a really easy game, almost like a game of go fish but with 6 decks of cards. Well okay, it is a little more complicated than that, but very fun! We played 2 rounds and by this time it was 10:45 so we had to quit, but most importantly my team won!! Yay, it was so much fun! It was a fun night that I truly enjoyed. It would not be a Zehring card game if my mom didn't fall asleep on the couch at 8:30 and my dad wasn't trying to sneak red 3's under the table to Aunt June, and there was way too much table talk, but hey that is what makes us fun! I love that my family can get together, even if we have not seen our aunts in a year and still have a great time like we see them everyday. I love that my family enjoys getting together and spending time with each other and tries to do so quite frequently. I am very proud of having such a close family even if we are loud and some what overwhelming! If you can handle my family and join in the fun, then you are going to fit right in! So if you are ever blessed enough to join us for one of our family get togethers there is guaranteed to be great food, laughing, a butt or two and most likely a free car show (another story, another time). Come prepared!!
