History Museum

Today we went to the Arizona Museum Of Natural History with Sara and Tracy. Preston has been talking a lot about Dinosaurs lately so I was really excited for him to see them! The first room we went into was feathered dinosaurs they recently discovered in China. Now for some reason you could not take pictures in this exhibit, dumb if you ask me but whatever! They had this HUGE dinosaur bird looking thing and surprisingly Preston was not that scared of it. Then we went and looked at the space exhibit which had stars and meteorites. Then it was off to the dinosaur bone exhibit where they had this set up of what Arizona used to look like and they had a little mini monsoon storm go off every 20 minutes. The kids really liked that. They also got to do colored rubbing of dinosaur bones which was fun. We also saw a mining exhibit and an old Arizona prison. Finally we went to see the poop exhibit. Yes that is right an exhibit all about poop! I am going to tell you that it was gross. They had all these actual turds from different animals! NASTY! Preston really liked playing with the fake poop, that is a boy for you! Why we needed an exhibit about poop...who knows? Oh and randomly thrown into the poop exhibit was a crocodile named Elvis. This was a really cool museum and they change the exhibits every so often so it is a place you could visit more than once. As usual Sara and Preston had a great time together, they are so adorable together!
